The Arizona Run n Gun Basketball Academy would like to introduce Dave Harris as the Director of Basketball Training and Development. Dave is widely regarded as an accomplished player, coach and trainer in the Phoenix metro area. Coach Harris is a native of Rochester, New York and has made the Valley of the Sun his home for over 30 years. Dave prepped at perennial power house Corona Del Sol where he directed them to the Arizona big school state championships in 1989. He then moved onto Metro State in Denver, Colorado where he was all conference and led his team to multiple Division II tournament appearances. Dave brings with him many years of high school coaching experience as well as owning and operating the Run-N-Gun for the past two years. The Arizona Run n Gun Academy is the latest of coach Harris’s endeavors and focuses on developing and training youth players from all backgrounds and skillsets. AWBA is designed after a school learning model where plaers train and develop year-round and apply those learned skills in organized leagues and tournaments in the Southwest Region. This year-round model was developerd to give players as well as parents the opportunity and flexibility to concentrate on school and attend non-basketball functions throughout the year all while keeping up with and advancing their skills on the court. The end goal of the academy is to develop Arizona youth both on and off the court through discipline, trust and hard work and be instrumental in their journey of becoming an elite player.
